It's hell being on a diet at a spring-training game. This guy a few seats down is wolfing a hot dog smothered in onions, peppers, sauerkraut, mustard and ketchup. Ha! Some ketchup spilled down his shirt front. Score one (small, to be sure) for the dieters.

This architectural style at Bright House Networks Field reminds me of the Spanish mission belltower in Hitchock's "Vertigo" -- but didn't Jimmy Stewart play for the Reds?
Some 65-year-old guy clad only in shorts just dived over a row of empty seats to get a Xavier Nady foul ball. I hope he has a grandson to give it to.
Howard doubles in the bottom half but is stranded. With the temperature pushing 85 degrees, the slugger didn't appear to want to run much farther, anyway.
