Phillies left fielder Pat Burrell may be bigger than Howard. With the addition of Pedro Feliz, Philadelphia has a fearsome lineup on paper.
Nyjer Morgan gets the first Pirates hit in the top half, and you figure he must be going because first base coach Lou Frazier is holding a stopwatch in plain view.
Morgan steals second easily, but he would have had to be Carl Lewis to score on Jack Wilson's line-drive single to left. Morgan gets thrown out by the proverbial country mile, leaving the Pirates scoreless.
Luis Munoz does a good job pitching a 1-2-3 bottom of the third, and the Pirates like his arm. He's a definite candidate for a bullpen job after going a combined 14-6 last season at Double-A Altoona and Triple-A Indianapolis, although he has mostly been used as a starter.
