Bottom 8 - Pirates at Red Sox

That must not have been Moskos, because I can't imagine he'd make the trip just to pinch hit. Mike Thompson pitches in the bottom of the eighth. He's not on my traveling roster, so the wheels are coming off a bit in garbage time.
I guess it's not garbage time for the guys out there. Thompson has put the first two runners on for Doug Mirabelli, whose specialty is not offense. He'll make the club for his glove, primarily his ability to catch Tim Wakefield.
Soon as I write that, Mirabelli hits a long drive to left-center, which McCutchen chased down. A run scored but the Pirates are lucky it wasn't two because that ball was smoked.
