Top 9 - Pirates at Red Sox

Now the fans are starting to the run for the exits. They part to the Cheers theme song. Good tune, and last half it was Neil Diamond and Sweet Caroline. If I was feeling a little better, I might have treated to the press box to a few lines of either of those songs. Their loss, I guess. Maybe next time.
Steve Pearce just crushed one over the wall in left field. So much for the Bradenton Herald jinx. He's gonna want a story for Wednesday, too.
The mystery is solved. Daniel Moskos is wearing the No. 75 that Daniel Moskos was supposed to sport, according to the travel roster the Pirates put out to the media. New pitcher as the Pirates get the potential winning run to the plate. Can you feel the intensity? Are the goose bumps taking over your body?
Andrew McCutchen steps to the plate, then strikes out for the second out of the inning. Freedy Sanchez might be the Pirates' last great hope, and he flies out to right to end the game.
This is Doug Kaid signing off from Fort Myers. Thanks for stopping by.

Final Score: Red Sox 5, Pirates 3
