Blue Jays vs. Pirates, bottom of third

Seeing ex-Met Xavier Nady at bat reminds me how I nominated my mom as No. 1 Mets fan in 1969, when they won the World Series after coming from nowhere to beat the Cubs for the division.
The saying all summer was, "If we can land a man on the moon, the Mets can win the pennant."
Now, about that moon landing -- can someone explain to me how they could televise that live almost 40 years ago? I'll never forget staying up until midnight to watch it.
Shouldn't '69 Mets manager Gil Hodges be in the Hall of Fame for his playing and managerial accomplishments? Plus, it's usually forgotten he drove in both runs in Game 7 of the 1955 World Series, ending decades of frustration for the Brooklyn Dodgers.
But guys like Hodges don't make Cooperstown when you leave it to the sabermatrician eggheads who think they invented the squeeze play. I digress; the Pirates aren't having much success against Toronto reliever Casey Janssen, who gets them 1-2-3.
