Top of the 3rd

Legends Field is nice. Very nice - especially on the outside, which is complete with a miniature Monument Park that honors all the Yankees with retired numbers.

But this ain't Yankee Stadium. The dimensions may be the same, the pictures of legends may hang on the walls and a replica facade may overlook the proceedings.

But this doesn't have an ounce of the charm and mystique as The Big Ballpark In The Bronx. Heck, this place doesn't even smell! Where is odor of stale beer wafting in from the bleachers?

Why aren't my sandals sticking to the stairs? Why are the floors so clean? This will take some getting used to.

So, it appears, will Mussina. He breezes through yet another inning, and has been perfect through three.

Scoreless after two and a half.
