Top 9 - Reds at Pirates

Luis Ordaz enters the game at shortstop to replace Jack Wilson. We remember Ordaz coming up in the Cardinals system. He came around about the time Placido Palanco was coming through. They came up together and at one point Ordaz was seen as the better prospect. Then Palanco kind of took off and Ordaz more or less flamed out. Ordaz has played parts of six seasons in the major leagues, and I think we all remember his one-game appearance with the Rays back in 2006.
Oh, they are still playing. The Reds failed to add to their lead in the top half of the ninth inning. That sets the stage for the comeback we will tell or grandchildren about.

Reds 5, Pirates 0
