Dunedin is a sister city to someplace in Scotland, so we're being serenaded with bagpipe music between innings and Scottish dancing by girls (thanks for that) in kilts.
It's like being at the British Open at Carnoustie, except there's less wind.
Halladay struck out Xavier Nady without much fuss, but Ronny Paulino -- the designated hitter today -- lined a single to right, bringing up Neil Walker.
One Pirates insider (that's a word for someone whose opinion you want to make sound important) predicts the switch-hitting Walker will hit the majors before the end of the 2008 season, perhaps taking over at third for inconsistent Jose Bautista.
Enough for rumors. Halladay escaped with no further damage.
