An addendum to the last blog: George Reeves was not credited for his appearance on I Love Lucy. By then, he was pretty well typecast.
We're in the top of the eighth and about eight outs away from moving on to enjoying the rest of the day. But Pirates outfielder Steve Pearce just woke everyone up by lifting a high pitch from Brian Wolfe over the left-field wall, cutting Toronto's lead to 2-1.
Pearce has four homers and 10 RBIs this spring and more and more is looking like a viable option in right field.
But no one else gets on, so the Pirates will have one more shot as snatching victory from the jaws of defeat.
