Doug Mientkiewicz at third for the Pirates just made a sliding catch of a wind-blown pop by Shannon Stewart. It's the type of heads-up, veteran play that could be factored in when John Russell decides the makeup of his 25-man Opening Day roster.
Brian Rogers just gave up a long home run to Chip Cannon, who has spent the past two seasons with the New Hampshire Fisher Cats of the Double-A Eastern League.
The buzz in the press box is that Tiger Woods is making a move in Orlando. How come no one else makes a move on the weekend (actually, I heard Sean O'Hair shot 63).
All of a sudden, the Jays are piling on against Rogers. It's 4-1, and it's going to be an uphill climb in the ninth.
