Bottom 2 - Reds at Pirates

A quick update of the Pirates other game down in Fort Myers: That game got off on time, and is in the third inning with the Twins up 1-0. Carlos Gomez, acquired in the Santana deal, doubled and scored the Twins run in the first inning.

Here's the Pirates lineup down there:
McLouth, CF
Rivas, L, SS
Bay, LF
Nady, RF
Mientkiewicz, 1B
Paulino, C
Walker, N, 3B
Gomez, 2B
Bixler, DH

Rivas and Mientkiewicz have a hit apiece for the Pirates.

Now back to this game, after retiring the first two of the inning (LaRoche and Bautista) Fogg walked the youngster, Steve Pearce. Pearce was running, when Bako's throw went into center allowing Pearce to advance to third. Who knew Pearce could run? Fogg got a little piece of Kevin Thompson, putting runners on first and third with two down for Josh Wilson. Brandon Phillips saves the day when Jeff Keppinger's force out throw at second on Josh Wilson''s grounder goes awry. Phillips stretched out, caught the ball and kept his foot on the bag. That gets by and one runs scores and the other two runners are on second and third for sure.

Pirates 0, Reds 0
