Remember me? I'm Mike Henry, the guy with the lineups.
It's disconcerting to see the McKechnie outfield stands so sparsely populated. I realize folks have to work for a living, but c'mon, it's 70 degrees and these guys aren't here that long! (Course, no one out there seems to have a laptop, so I'm not complainin.')
Everybody is talking about Friday, when the new lights come on for the first spring-training night game in Bradenton.
David Eckstein leads off--hard not to root for the little guy, even though he won a World Series ring in 2002 with the Angels at the expense of my Giants. Tom Gorzelanny got him to ground out to Adam LaRoche at first base.
Someone asked me how a kid from Connecticut grew up rooting for the Giants. Willie Mays, Willie McCovey and Juan Marichal are a few of the answers. Did you know the great Bob Gibson never won more games in a season than Marichal from 1960-69?
Gorzelanny had the Jays eating out of his hand with a 1-2-3 frame.
