Lyle Overbay leads off with a double to right-center -- I think minor-leaguer Alex Presley, who has taken over in right from Nady, was playing too shallow or he might have run it down.
Rivas, the former Twin who is well on his way to earning a job on the Opening Day roster, just scrambled to his right to flag down a grounder in the hole by Aaron Hill, throwing him out from his knees.
Great stuff.
By the way, Franquelis Osoria has replaced Duke on the mound.
The play by Rivas contributes to a scoreless inning, and the Pirates seem well on their way to improving to 2-2 against the Bluebirds.
