Over and out

Lightning crashes. Sheets of rain pelt the tarp. Palm trees bend in the wind.

The first night game in the history of McKechnie Field won't happen tonight - the game has been cancelled.

A chorus of groans erupts from the crowd as news of the cancellation comes over the speakers.

Looks like the baseball gods win this one. Will they strike again is Wednesday, March 19 when the Yankees head to Bradenton for the Night Game, Part II?

We'll see.

That game is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
