Bottom 8 - Phillies at Pirates

Tom Gordon, who has pitched in the major leagues since the turn of the century, enters the game for the Phillies. Andrew McCutchen, who is about half Gordon's age, doubles to left-center to greet the old man. Tom Gordon was drafted by the Royals out of Sebring in 1986. Just few miles north in Fort Meade, a baby was born that same year. His name: Andrew McCutchen.
A-Mac scores when Chris Gomez plunks a two-out single to CF. Gordon walks off the field with the help of a walker, having allowed one run.
Pirates 8, Phillies 5
