Blue Jays vs. Pirates, bottom of eighth

This game is speeding up, and I'm like Lucy and Ethel on the chocolate-wrapping conveyor belt trying to keep up.
Memo to self: Ask Pirates general manager Neal Huntington on Friday if he's concerned about a seven-game losing streak.
Relievers such as Jean Machi, now in for the Blue Jays, have something to prove, and they are helped out immeasurably when guys like right fielder Ryan Patterson make a diving catch of a sinking liner by Raul Chavez.
Proving they belong, even if other guys belong more.
